You Can Motivate Your Child To Learn!

How do we get our children to care about school? How do we motivate them to do their best and learn as much as they can?

Think about what motivates you. To be motivated to do something, you need to feel that the end result or goal is important to you. You also need to feel that it is something that you are able to accomplish. If we want out children to be motivated to learn, then learning has to be important to them and they must feel that they are capable of learning.

As a parent, you have a significant role to play in helping you child be motivated to learn. Because your child looks to you as role model, your words and actions will shape your child's attitude toward learning and school. If you show that you think school and learning are important, your child is likely to feel that way too. You can help your child be motivated to learn with these actions:

·        Show that you believe in your child’s ability to succeed.

·        Help your child identify goals that can be achieved through learning.

·        Help your child see the steps toward achieving his or her goals.
